Why is it so hard to love the child inside us?
It seems far easier to be our own bullies. The twist in that is it doesn’t make us more loving, kind, or open to ourselves or others. On the contrary it keeps us locked up, hiding, lonely and not living fully into who we really are. So maybe it is serving someone or something because we are not living as are fullest selves.
